Privacy Policy for Task Planner

This page explains what Task Planner stores, what optional system features it uses, and how your data is handled when you use the app.

Last updated: April 13, 2026

Task Planner is an iOS task management application designed to help you organize your tasks, schedule reminders, track progress, and view statistics. Task Planner does not require account creation or sign-in to use its core features.

Overview

Task Planner is built to keep planning simple, fast, and private. The app is designed to work without requiring an account, and its core features can be used directly on your device.

Data Storage

Task Planner stores your data locally on your device using Apple’s system storage technologies.

Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

  • task titles, notes, dates, times, all-day settings, colors, categories, completion history, recurring task settings, and reminders;
  • small photo thumbnails attached to tasks;
  • app preferences such as theme, week start settings, notification preferences, and calendar integration settings;
  • identifiers used for Apple Calendar synchronization;
  • widget data shared between the app and its widget via Apple App Groups.

Task Planner does not upload your task data to any developer-operated servers.

Photos

Adding photos to tasks is optional.

If you choose to attach a photo, the app uses the iOS system photo picker to let you select an image. Task Planner only accesses the image you choose and stores a small thumbnail on your device.

The app does not access your full photo library and does not upload your photos to external servers.

Calendar

Calendar access is optional.

If enabled, Task Planner may:

  • create or use a calendar named “Task Planner” in Apple Calendar;
  • export your tasks to Apple Calendar;
  • read your existing calendar events to display them within the app;
  • remove exported events when synchronization is disabled or when you choose to delete them.

Task Planner stores local identifiers to keep exported events in sync.

If your device syncs calendar data with iCloud or another provider, those services may process your data under their own privacy policies.

Notifications

Notifications are optional.

Task Planner uses local notifications to remind you about tasks. These notifications are scheduled and delivered on your device using Apple’s system frameworks.

Task Planner does not use remote push notification servers.

Third-Party Services

Task Planner does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

The app uses Apple-provided frameworks where necessary:

  • StoreKit for subscriptions and purchases;
  • EventKit for calendar integration;
  • UserNotifications for reminders;
  • PhotosUI for selecting images.

If you make a purchase, Apple processes payment information according to its own privacy policies. Task Planner does not collect your payment details.

Data Sharing

Task Planner is designed to keep your data on your device.

The app does not:

  • sell your personal data;
  • share your data with advertisers;
  • track you across other apps or websites;
  • upload your tasks or photos to external servers.

Some data may be handled by Apple when you use system features such as subscriptions, calendar integration, notifications, or widgets.

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you choose to delete it.

  • Tasks, categories, preferences, and photos remain stored until removed by you or until the app is deleted.
  • Widget data is updated automatically as the widget refreshes.
  • Calendar events exported to Apple Calendar remain there until you remove them.
  • Scheduled notifications remain active until delivered or canceled.

If you delete the app, locally stored data is typically removed from your device. Data managed by Apple services may remain subject to Apple’s policies.

Your Choices

You control how your data is used:

  • You can choose whether to add photos to tasks.
  • You can enable or disable calendar access at any time.
  • You can allow or deny notifications.
  • You can edit or delete your tasks and data.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple.
